London's Chelsea are considered the main favourites to win the Conference League in the 2024-25 season
The 1/8 finals of the Conference League kicked off on March 6, with the return games taking place on March 13. The Londoners can adapt to different styles of play, using either a 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 formation, making their tactics flexible and balanced. Maresca’s side effectively combine long and short passes, which brings success against more aggressive opponents. Chelsea’s star-studded squad includes the likes of charismatic forward Mark Guiou, who has scored six goals this season. Christopher Nkou Nkou, a former Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig player, also made his mark, scoring five goals in the group stage. The Ukrainian winger was a real star in the match against Panathinaikos, which Chelsea won 4-1.
