Thiago Almada scored a free-kick in the first half, but United's lead was short-lived. Leni Joro scored his debut goal for United after the break to level the scores again. However, it was towards the end of the game that Joshua Zirkzee scored England's second. However, Cherki changed the game again in the closing minutes of the second half, leaving the return leg at Old Trafford next week intriguing.
