The UEFA Conference League semi-final battles are in full swing and we will soon find out which teams will reach the final

The return leg of the semi-final between Fiorentina and Real Betis took place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on May 8. Fiorentina recently suffered a 1-0 defeat to Roma in Serie A. The team conceded a goal shortly before the break and was reduced to ten men at the end of the game due to a player being sent off. However, statistics show that the team has not lost in its last 13 home matches in the Conference League.

Real Betis, on the other hand, arrived in Florence after a 2-1 win over Espanyol in La Liga last weekend. In that match, the Spanish team initially conceded in the 28th minute, but were already leading 1-0 by the break. They managed to fight back in the second half and equalize in the 85th minute, with the winning goal scored in stoppage time. The win continued Betis' unbeaten run of five games in all competitions. They also beat Girona and Valladolid in La Liga, and drew 1-1 with Jagiellonia Bialystok in the Conference League.

Fiorentina have established themselves as regulars in the Conference League finals in recent years, reaching the final twice without achieving success. In contrast, Real Betis have made even the semi-finals a significant achievement. Manuel Pellegrini's team is confidently moving forward without unnecessary noise and is ready to surprise everyone at the finish line. 

In the last match, Gossens scored a brace for the "violets", while Anthony and Eze Abde scored for the Spaniards.
