UEFA has allowed five substitutions in the Champions League and the Europa League

"In all the remaining matches of the 2019/2020 season, teams will be able to make five substitutions according to temporary changes in the rules of the game.

In the 2020/2021 season, the maximum number of substitutions will again be three," the UEFA press service reports. Clubs will also be allowed to add three players to the A-list until the end of the 2019/2020 season, provided that these players have already been declared for the club and could play for it at the end of the last period of additional appearances. There can't be more than 25 players in the A-list. UEFA President Alexander Ceferin also announced the format in which the current season of the Champions League will be played.

The main European Cup will be played in the format of the "Final Eight" in Lisbon in the period from 12 to 23 August. The confrontations will take place in a one-match format.
