Football club “Sparta Prague” is not just a sports team, but a true symbol of Czech football with more than a century of history. Founded in 1893, the club earned recognition and respect on the international stage thanks to its outstanding achievements. During the 1920s and 1930s, “Sparta” dominated Czechoslovak football and earned the nickname “Iron Sparta” for its impressive victories, including two triumphs in the Mitropa Cup.

In the 1990s, “Sparta” once again attracted significant attention, regularly competing in European tournaments and reaching the quarter-finals on several occasions. Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the club continued to be a leading force in Czech football, winning seven national titles between 1993 and 2001.
