St James' Park is a major football stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and the home ground of English football club Newcastle United. With a capacity of 52,405, it is the seventh-largest club stadium in England. The stadium has a rich history, dating back to its foundation in the mid-19th century. In 2011, it was temporarily named the Sport Direct Arena, but its historical name was reverted to in 2012.
