Red Bull Arena (Salzburg)

Description

"Red Bull Arena" (German: Red Bull Arena) is a soccer stadium located in Wals-Sitzenheim, a suburb of the city of Salzburg in Austria. This stadium serves as the home arena for the Red Bull Salzburg soccer club and has a capacity of 31,895 spectators.

The stadium was opened on March 8, 2003 and has since become an important sports venue in the region. In 2008, the Red Bull Arena hosted 3 matches from Group D of the European Football Championship. During this tournament and before it, the stadium was called EM-Stadion Wals-Siezenheim (German: EM-Stadion Wals-Siezenheim). All three Euro 2008 matches played at this stadium included the performance of the Greek national team, which unfortunately lost three times in these games: 0:2 to Sweden, 0:1 to Russia and 1:2 to Spain.
