Stadion Wankdorf

Description

Stadion Wankdorf is a soccer stadium in the Swiss city of Bern. The stadium is the second largest in the country and today serves as the home arena of the BSC Young Boys (YB) soccer team.

The stands can accommodate 32,000 fans at a soccer match and 44500 spectators at concerts. The new generation artificial turf allows to hold not only soccer matches, but also car presentations, unique exhibitions or corporate competitions on the pitch. During its operation the stadium hosted matches of the European Football Championship in 2008, matches of the Champions League and 1/16 finals of the UEFA Cup, qualification matches of the FIFA World Cup in 2014. Concerts of AC/DC, Pink, Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode, One Direction, Celine Dion, Rammstein and other world stars gathered a full stadium of fans.

In addition to attending soccer matches and concerts of world stars, the Stadion Wankdorf offers a wide range of additional services. Everyone can sign up for a tour of the stadium, during which visitors will learn many interesting facts about the soccer ground itself, the YB team, visit the VIP-zones and feel like real players by going to the field through the tunnel.
